When Capcom got the Disney license, magic happened. DuckTales (1989) puts Scrooge McDuck through nonlinear, pick-your-order stages, bouncing on his cane like a pogo stick to reach treasure and bop enemies.

It controls beautifully, it's smartly designed, and it has one of the most beloved pieces of music in all of gaming: the Moon theme. Ask anyone who played it; they're humming it right now.

It's so fondly remembered that it got a faithful HD remake decades later. Few licensed games transcend the cash-in label this completely. The pogo cane alone is worth the cartridge.
