"I have served this casserole at our family reunion--another favorite tradition with a little twist!*

3 cups mashed cooked sweet potatoes

1 stick butter

2 cups sugar

4 eggs

1 can evaporated milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

Topping:

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup chopped pecans

½ stick butter, melted ½ teaspoon vanilla ½ teaspoon cinnamon 1/3 cup flour

Mix hot potatoes with butter, then add next four ingredients and mix well.

Place in 9" x 13" baking dish and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Mix topping ingredients and spread over potatoes.

Sometimes I add ¼ stick more of butter. You will not be able to "spread", may have to use fingers and drop small amounts all over until almost covered. Bake until topping is bubbly at 350 degrees.
