Jackal — Free the Prisoners, Two Jeeps Deep
Konami's overhead run-and-gun, better with a partner.
Jackal (1988) puts you behind the wheel of an armed jeep in an overhead-scrolling run-and-gun, blasting through enemy territory to rescue POWs and ferry them to evac choppers.
The co-op is the heart of it: two jeeps, two players, dividing fire between the grenades that clear buildings and the front gun that handles the road ahead. Free the prisoners, grab upgrades, take down the big bosses.
It's pure Konami arcade energy: fast, loud, and best on the couch with a friend. An underrated gem in a library full of bigger names.
